This guy somehow made it into our office and tried to crawl into my Command Sergeant Major's body armor. He lost the battle with the CSM's boot and was not doing well when this picture was taken.

Thankgiving and other pics

Two beautiful little girls. We gave them pens, candy and some money and they followed us all the way to the Embassy. Not sure who the creepy guy in the SUV is...one can only imagine.

Climbing the Ghar

We got to climb one of the prominent mountains in Kabul--The Ghar. We had a company of Canadian Infantry guys pull security and we had a great climb!

Admissions Week

Almost 5000 candidates converged on NMAA for the past week to take physical and academic tests. NMAA will accept 600. Of those 600, about 10% will be women. This is the first year that NMAA will accept women and represents a ground-breaking event for the Afghan National Army!

Cadet Field Training Opening Ceremony

The Field Operating Base is still under construction but the training has begun. First Pic is me MSG Linendoll (my left) and driver extraordinaire CPT Lawrence (my right). Second Pic is the cadets formed up at the FOB. Third pic is me explaining something (can't remember what) to Major General Zazai. Fourth pic is me greeting General Karimi, the senior general of the Afghan Army and then finally me standing in front of a D-30 artillery piece.

CC Season has begun!

Keila and Kraig kicked off the cc season with a Pasta Dinner at our house.

Keila came in 4th in the girls varsity race and first for the CCHS team!
